Putting God First Part 7

The title of today's episode is Putting God First Part 7. In the presence of God is fullness of joy. This episode is the last in the series, Putting God First. So what have we learned? It takes us being intentional about putting God first. This does not come naturally. Like King David, while journeying to and spending time in the wilderness, we must be deliberate about putting God first.  If we don't, we will leave the wilderness worse than when we entered. What else have we learned? God calls us to the wilderness to speak with us, teaching us to put Him first because He loves us. He alone can meet our deepest needs. Lastly, as barren as our wilderness experience can be, we can sing God's praises there. Thank you for walking with me through the Psalms. Because of these profound songs David wrote to the Lord, I've learned a lot, and I'm not the same person I was several weeks ago. I hope you, too, have experienced a transformation in your life. Putting God First Part 6

Today's episode is titled Putting God First Part 6. God will always call us to the wilderness because He has our attention like no other place. In the wilderness, we will, if we allow, experience God's profound love. There, He will speak to us as He did King David about what stands between them, reminding us of His purpose and plans for us. In the wilderness, we pour out our hearts to God; in return, He reminds us of who He is. Our Creator, Saviour, and Friend. So when He calls, go to Him and He will teach you how to sing His praises in the wilderness. 

Putting God First Part 5

Today's episode is titled, Putting God First Part 5. When and at what point do you call upon God? Many wait until there is no one else to turn to. But God wants us to call upon Him first, for He stands ready to make us victorious in Christ. And if that wasn't enough, King David reminds us that because Christ is always thinking of us, we are never left to deal with life alone. He is our refuge and our strength. Not just sometimes, but all the time. Try Him. You won't be disappointed. 

Putting God First Part 4

Today's episode is titled "Putting God first, part 4." We have experienced dry places but don't have to stay that way. David said that when we seek God early, He will make sure that our souls are watered. This water here is His word. We can choose to drink deeply each day. Why not? What do we have to lose? Try Him today. 

Putting God First Part 3

Today's episode is titled "Putting God First, Part 3." We will examine Psalm 27:4. David wrote This beautiful song, reminding us that dwell or remaining with and in the Lord should be our highest desire. When we do, we will experience Christ in all His beauty. We will also learn to wait because we have put Him first in all our experiences. Thank you for joining me as we walk the Psalms, the songs David and others wrote to the Lord.

Putting God First Part 2

Today's episode is titled Putting God First Part 2. Today we explore what happens when we put God first by believing His word in Psalms 46:1-3, that He is our refuge and strength and very present help in time of trouble. We put God first by standing on the truth found in His word, which is simple and profound but not always easy. However, God will show us how and we will never be the same.
